SWELL

£2800.00

This piece captures and uses the heat produced by light. As the lamp stays on, the liquid inside gradually expands, rising and changing the shape of the lamp over time.

Each glass vessel is hand-blown, adding subtle variation to every piece and reinforcing the idea of slow, organic change.

The colour is not in the glass. It comes from the liquid, which can be mixed to any shade or tone. What looks like coloured glass is actually a shifting internal element.

The work combines traditional glassblowing with a controlled scientific process. The transformation is slow, taking hours to unfold. Each time you return to it, the form is slightly different.

In contrast to fast and reactive design, this piece moves at its own pace, encouraging a quieter and more reflective interaction with light and time.
