The quality and beauty of light are used to present the new BMW 6 Series, the first car by the brand to have full LED headlights.

Visitors are invited to submerge their heads in a series of large low-hanging red and white conical lamps, revealing a video of the car on a vast, seamless, curved white wall in front of them.

“The impression of this piece is a vast empty space with just lights suspended. But when you look through one of these red lamps, you realise the car has been with you circulating the space the entire time. Through the light we see the car and through the car, we understand the light.” – Paul Cocksedge.

The work was commissioned by BMW and installed at the Flos showroom during Milan Design Week 2011.
