Each of the blood-red sculptural names represents a real person living with blood cancer and is sized to reflect their height.

Their stories about living with cancer are engraved into the surfaces of the sculptures to help raise awareness of their experience.

“Blood cancer has an enormous impact on people’s lives, and needs greater awareness. Design isn’t for a niche audience, and this is a chance to show that it can carry a message to the wider public.”– Paul Cocksedge.

The work was installed in Paternoster Square as part of Blood Cancer Awareness Month during London Design Festival 2017.

The work was sponsored by Janssen UK and endorsed by Bloodwise, Leukaemia CARE, Myeloma UK, CLL Support Association, Waldenstrom (WM) UK, Anthony Nolan, MDS Foundation, Lymphoma Association and CML Support.
