STUDIO

Paul Cocksedge Studio was founded in 2004 by Paul Cocksedge and Joana Pinho, a collaboration that began during their time at the Royal College of Art in London. Today, their Hackney-based studio is powered by a dedicated team of creative collaborators.

The studio’s practice is driven by extensive research into the potential of materials, technology, and making processes.

A recurring theme is the human body as an activator of work, reflecting a desire to create meaningful connections between people and place. Exploring the limits of color, light, and material often serves to spark curiosity and wonder in the viewer.

Paul Cocksedge Studio has collaborated with Victoria and Albert Museum, North Carolina Museum of Arts, Google Arts, Mayor of London, Dior, Hermès, BMW among others.

The studio’s work is held in prestigious collections worldwide, including the British Council, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Design Museum in London; the Museum of Arts and Design and Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the Eskenazi Museum of Art in Bloomington, Indiana.
