Paul Cocksedge Studio’s Freeze Chair is part of the Pizzuti Collection’s new exhibition When Attitudes Become Chairs, which is dedicated to cutting edge furniture design. Created in 2015, Freeze Chair was made using sub-zero temperatures to seamlessly join different metals together.
“Instead of radically changing the form of the chair, Freeze strips its construction back to the absolute minimum,” says Cocksedge. “Freeze doesn’t shout for attention. Instead its appeal lies in its visual simplicity and purposefully quiet design. It’s one of my favourite pieces.”
Freeze Chair is featured alongside work by Ron Arad, Faye Toogood and Joris Laarman. The exhibition continues until April 28, 2019, in Columbus Ohio.
