The Vamp is featured in Design Museum Holon's 'Sound and Matter in Design' exhibition, which explores the way spaces, environments and experiences are shaped by sound.
“Sound is one of the most significant 'raw materials” in the designer's toolbox,” says Design Museum Holon's chief curator Maya Dvash.
It's included as part of the Seeing Sound section in the building's Upper Gallery, which features 50 different objects, dating back to the 1960s, that show the ways speakers and stereo systems have evolved over the years.
“The Vamp needs the past to become complete, so it’s fitting that it’s surrounded by technology from the last 50 years,” adds Paul Cocksedge. “It’s about the unexpected nature of objects coming together, and, for me, that's the beauty of this show as well.”
The Vamp will be on display until 28 October 2017.
